Code of Ethics

At Nourished Roots Coaching, everything is built on a foundation of integrity, respect, and evidence-based practice. This is a space designed to support you in creating sustainable change — in a way that feels realistic, personal, and aligned with your life.

Evidence-based approach

All guidance is grounded in the best available evidence, combined with practical experience and your individual context. The focus is always on what is effective, sustainable, and appropriate for you.

Qualifications and professional development

I am a certified Nutrition and Lifestyle Coach, qualified through Precision Nutrition, a globally recognised and evidence-informed coaching certification. I hold professional indemnity and public liability insurance, and I am committed to ongoing learning and development to ensure the highest standard of coaching support.

Individualised support

There is no one-size-fits-all approach. Coaching is tailored to your lifestyle, preferences, and starting point, so that what you build feels realistic and entirely your own.

Scope of practice

Nourished Roots Coaching provides nutrition and lifestyle coaching. It does not constitute medical advice, dietary therapy, or any form of clinical or therapeutic treatment. If you have a medical condition or complex dietary needs, I will always encourage you to work alongside your GP or a registered healthcare professional. Coaching is designed to complement — not replace — professional medical care.

Respect and non-judgement

Coaching is a supportive, confidential space. You will be met with honesty, respect, and understanding — without judgement or expectation of perfection.

Client responsibility

You remain in control of your decisions and the direction you choose to take. My role is to guide, support, and challenge your thinking — not to impose or prescribe. Progress depends on your engagement and the actions you choose to take between sessions.

Results and outcomes

Coaching is a collaborative process and results will vary from person to person. Your progress will depend on a range of individual factors including your circumstances, consistency, and commitment. No specific outcome can be guaranteed.

Wellbeing first

Your physical and mental wellbeing is always the priority. Extreme, restrictive, or unsustainable approaches are not part of this practice. Where I have any concern for your wellbeing, I will address this openly and, where appropriate, signpost you to additional support.

Confidentiality and data

All personal information shared is treated with complete confidentiality. For full details of how your data is collected, stored, and protected, please refer to my [Privacy Policy].
